CASCALC89 COMMAND · NOT ON THE TI-89
euler(
Solves a differential equation numerically with Euler's method and returns a matrix with the variable values in the first row and the solution values in the second.
Syntax
euler(Expr, Var, DepVar, {Var0, VarMax}, DepVar0, VarStep[, eulerStep])
- Group
- Calculus
- Arguments
- Takes the derivative expression, the variable, the dependent variable, a list with start and end value, the initial value, the step size and an optional number of Euler steps per step.
- Availability
- Pro feature in Calc89
- Origin
- TI-Nspire CAS style command; the TI-89 Titanium handheld does not have it
Example
| Input | Result |
|---|---|
| euler(0.001·y·(100−y),t,y,{0,2},10,1) | [[0.0,1.0,2.0][10.0,10.9,11.87119]] |
Typing euler(0.001·y·(100−y),t,y,{0,2},10,1) on the home screen and pressing ENTER returns [[0.0,1.0,2.0][10.0,10.9,11.87119]].
